Vintage model ship - destroyer "Watchdog" handmade period of the USSR, the 50-s of the 20th century.
This model ship was made by hand and belonged to the captain of the second rank, who served in the northern fleet in the 1950s.
Material - textolite or ebolit.
Dimensions of the stand - 13,7x2,3 inches (35x6 cm)
dimensions of the ship - 12,4x1,3 inches (31,5x3,5 cm)
height with the stand is 4,3 inches (11 cm)
Real destroyer "Watchdog" was the lead destroyer of the 7-U project (the design of serial destroyers) and was built by shipbuilders to the beginning of World War II
The artillery of the main caliber of the destroyer of the project 7U: four 130-mm guns B-13-2 with a barrel length of 50 calibers, made by the "Bolshevik" plant. The ammunition included 150 shots on the barrel, the ship could take up to 185 shots on the barrel for reloading (according to the capacity of the cellars). The ammunition was supplied manually, sent by means of a pneumatic waste dumper.
