    Japanese IJN Minekaze Class Destroyer
    miniature
    Metal Model
    that I believe to be made by
    Comet or other similar company.
    It is about 3.25" long. It has some light wear with a few scattered light scuffs to the paint.
    Comet Metal Products was based in New York
    .
    They were one of only a few companies who were tasked with producing the identification models for the US military. That would have been the original purpose of the model. They also continued producing them after the war as toys and collectibles. They went out of business in the 1950's.
