    This is a vintage
    Comet Authenticast WW2 HMS Tyne British Depot Ship
    miniature
    Metal Model.
    It is about 6" long. There are a few very minor bends to a few extended pieces. It has light wear with a few scattered light scuffs to the paint.  It could use a careful cleaning. It is marked
    "Authenticast"
    on the underside of the base. Authenticast is a brand name of Comet Metal products of NY.
    It was made either during WW2 or shortly thereafter. They were one of only a few companies who were tasked with producing the identification models for the US military. That would have been the original purpose of the model. They also continued producing them after the war as toys and collectibles.
