The 1 3/8" x 2" Automatic Gate Closer removes the hassle from closing a chain link fence gate when your hands are full. Forged from strong, durable steel, this reliable closer features a die-cast aluminum spring to facilitate easy closing. It fits 2" (1 7/8" OD) posts and 1 3/8" gate frames and is easy to install either to an existing fence system or as part of a new application. When installing, keep in mind that in most applications, the ends will not meet and it's important not to over-tighten the closer. WARNING: Do NOT over tighten your gate closer, in most installations the ends will not perfectly meet. This gate closer is spring loaded and highly sensitive to pressure. If tighten too much and then fully opening the gate will cause spring damage
